It's Open!

Step inside the Corn Wagon's front door and this is what you will see. The Moda Bakeshop is now open! I have been putting this whole thing together for quite sometime. I am really tickled how everything came together. It has been our fall openhouse this weekend and in honor of kicking off our Moda Bakeshop club they asked me to open a bakeshop. Now I'm not a fantastic baker but I can sure whip up some fun things out of fabric. Take a better look at the neat things in our bakeshop. We are featuring the new fabric line Panache from Sanae.
The quilt is a free download from Moda. Margene did an awesome job putting it together. I made everything else in the display. A big thank you goes to Kira for taking the time to make the pennant hanging from the shelf. It says Bakeshop.

The apron pattern is one of the new patterns in the shop. It has a coffee mug pattern in it, but I opted out and used a cupcake instead. The bag hanging on the door is also another free download from Moda. In the green bucket we have our "Day Olds"(sale stuff like, charm packs, jelly rolls, and layer cakes).

We have put together our kits and have put them in bakery boxes. Cute huh? You can see them sitting on the stool in this picture. I also have the cupcakes I was making on Labor Day scattered around the display as well.
I borrowed a few of my mom's nostalgic kitchen wares to add to the flavor. The dishtowels were very easy to make. You can find them on the Moda blog to.

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first!

We have put together a Moda Bakeshop club and we will be meeting the 3rd Saturday of the month. Come join us for some great fun. We will be making all our projects out of the precuts from Moda. The things will be making are calorie free but the desserts we will serve will not!
We will be spotlighting a different recipe each month.
Come bake with us!
