Retreats Part 2

The St. George retreat was a successfull one. The ladies who participated in the mystery bag thought this was a fun new way to making a bag. After each clue they got more and more excited to see what the bag was going to look like. Some last minute instructions, and then they were off to start their bags.

This is my friend Maudie, she is the gal that put this whole retreat together. She works at Dave's Bernina in Provo but will be relocating to St. George soon. I have enjoyed getting to know Maudie more, and I look forward to working with her in St. George this summer.
The big unveiling of the mystery bag. We had to open it before class time was over so that those who were leaving could see what all their hard work was going to make.

The ladies in my quilt class made the Piece of Cake quilt from Thimbleblossoms designs. They all just about finished their quilts in the class time. This is a easy quilt using layer cakes.

This is one of the many quilts layed out on the floor, ready to sew the rows together. There were lots of variations to look at scattered around the floor. It looked like one giant quilt. This was a fun retreat, I look forward to doing it again this fall. Thanks to everyone for making this a great get away.
