One of my favorite things to do on a quilt is the binding. I can't wait to get it back from the quilter so I can get right to it. I find binding very relaxing. I love having a warm quilt on my lap while I'm watching a movie or one of my t.v. shows. Here are the latest quilts I have completed for the shop.
This one comes from the Turning Twenty Simply Sashed Book. It's called Sew Easy. It looks a little complicated dosen't it? But really it is quite simple to do. They always have the best instructions in their books. So easy to follow. If you like what you see here, we have these cute little devils put together in kits. What a perfect Christmas present.
A shot of the back and the binding.
This is a little baby quilt made from the Bliss line from Bonnie and Camille for Moda. This was a free project sheet from Moda a few years back. It is made from 2 charm packs and a bit of yardage. This one was so fast to put together.
Ever wondering what to do with your leftover charms? A good idea, use them in your backing. With these leftovers I pieced a row going down in the middle of the quilt. We are offering the kits to this one too.
And my favorite new thing. The Twister quilts. This one actually came from the book Let's Twist by Marsha Bergren. It really has some fun ways to use the twister rulers. Check out the little pinwheel in the corner posts of this quilt. This quilt is made from Fandango from Kate Spain. We have kits for this one waiting for you at the shop. What are you waiting for, come twist with us!
The bias binding is just the right touch for finishing up this quilt. It is from the Domestic Diva line from Riley Blake. It matches Fandango perfect.
Now that the fall weather is officially here I look forward to cuddling up with more quilts that need binding. Have you got any that need to be done?
Wow! Another 3 quilts finished! Are you stuck to your sewing machine? Love the colors you used. Isn't it relaxing to have something to sew while sitting in front of the TV? Just one eye at the screen is enough for me (LOL)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the black and pink fabric! And you're right, it would make a perfect Christmas present, for say maybe, I don't know, a sister maybe.
