All the class attendees and their quilt tops. Good job ladies.
We thought there would be room in the trailer to sew but we were a little tight so we moved things downstairs and enjoyed our sewing time there the rest of the weekend. Both Terry and Em are getting ready for market, times running out ladies!Thursday afternoon I taught a bag class, a bag I designed about three years ago called Mysterious Mildred. Look there's Lorraine and Sharon again. And there's Joann(in pink), she is also a great follower. I was happy to see Emily and her mom, Annette in my class. They are good customers of the Corn Wagon. I think they had some fun, I wouldn't be surprised they come to the whole event next year.
Friday morning we had some downtime so we headed to Ephraim to visit the quaint little quilt shop they have there. It's called the Fabric Shack. Fran is the owner and her little helper is her neighbor girl.
We didn't come out empty handed, we all found something we needed, well I shouldn't say needed. It's something we wanted!
That afternoon Emily did the trunk show. It was, as always terrific. She had something fun and new to show us. She was so excited to show us her new and upcoming book titled Geared for Guys. It hadn't even gone to the printer yet, this is just her rough graph copy of it. But guess what, it's out now. I was lucky enough to be one of the first to get one, right of the press. It's fab!
So after Em was done we went to lunch at Mexicanos in Mt. Pleasant and visited a couple of fun antique and gift shops. The Corner Store has lots to offer. Everything from vintage goods, jewelry, purses, home dec and kids toys.
And this is the Depot in Mt. Pleasant. A very fun antiques shop in the old train depot.
So, yes it was a fun weekend. Saturday came to quick to say our goodbyes. It's already on the calendar for next year. Just one more thing, and a funny one at that. Look what I won as a door prize. A bundle of 10" squares of Hall of Fame, donated by the one and only Em! And another funny thing, she won the little sewing gadget bag I made and donated. This was meant to be, I think.
Looks like you had fun. Can't wait to see you at the quilt walk this year.
