My jar is full!
Look at all these selvedges would ya! I think now that my jar is full I can start on the project I've been dreaming about for a year. Surprises to come. What exactly do you do with your selvedges, do you leave them on or do you cut them off?
I kept them for a while but it got out of control. Now only the really cute ones get saved. I haven't been able to comment back to you on my blog. For some reason the message won't go through. Weird.
My hands are always busy, this has led to many crafty endevers, interior design, paper crafting, or sewing, but my favorite obsession is quilting and making bags. You can just call me an "Old Bag"! My husband, Stuart and I are empty nesters who like to travel in our 5th wheel trailer and spoil our three kids, two son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law and five darling grandkids. (if there's any money leftover from buying fabric!)
I work at Corn Wagon Quilts in Springville, Utah. The perfect job for me. I teach quilt and bag classes for the Corn Wagon and Dave's Bernina in Provo and St. George, Utah. It's a good thing we don't have to live off what money I make, 'cause you know it has to buy fabric! Glad you stopped by, pull up a chair, a diet coke, chocolate and lets get accquainted.
"The desire tocreate is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish tocreate something that did not exist before .... creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develop ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty ..."

This is my husband Stuart. This is who I share my nest with. He likes the outdoors, hunting, guns, and ME! He is a wonderful cook (am I lucky or what?) He is a fun, kind and loving father and grandpa. I'm so blessed to have in my life.

I trow away my selvedges but keep the little scraps. Hope you will have enough for the project you are going to make!
